How to transfer a domain to adxhost

Already have a domain registered elsewhere? You can transfer it to adxhost and manage everything in one place — including renewals, DNS, hosting, and email.

The process is secure, simple, and typically takes 5–7 days to complete.

Before You Begin: Checklist

Make sure your domain is ready for transfer:

  1. Unlock your domain at your current registrar

  2. Ensure your domain admin email is working

  3. Obtain your EPP/Auth Code (also called transfer key)

  4. Domain must be at least 60 days old and not expired

  5. WHOIS privacy must be turned off temporarily during transfer

—or search your domain on the homepage and select Transfer.

If the domain is eligible, you’ll proceed to the next step.

You’ll be charged for 1 year of domain renewal, which will be added to your current domain’s expiration.

Log in or create a new client account, then complete payment.

Step 6: Approve the Transfer

After payment, you’ll receive an email at your domain’s admin contact address asking you to approve the transfer.

Click the link in that email to approve.

Once approved, your domain will move to adxhost within 5–7 days (sometimes faster).

What Happens Next?

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email when the transfer is complete

  • Your domain will appear in your adxhost Client Area

  • You’ll be able to manage DNS, renewals, and connect hosting

Tips

  • Keep an eye on your email (including spam folders)

  • Do not cancel your domain with your old registrar — the transfer will handle it

  • If transfer fails, you’ll be notified and refunded if needed
