Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your adxhost Client Area by requiring a one-time code in addition to your password. We highly recommend enabling 2FA to protect your account from unauthorized access.
Follow the steps below to set up 2FA using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
Step 1: Log in to Your Client Area
Go to https://adxhost.com/billing and log in with your email and password.
Step 2: Access Security Settings
-
From the Client Area dashboard, click on your name or profile icon in the top-right corner.
-
Select Security Settings from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Begin Two-Factor Setup
-
On the Security Settings page, locate the Two-Factor Authentication section.
-
Click the Click here to Enable button.
This will launch the setup wizard for 2FA.
Step 4: Scan the QR Code
-
Open your authenticator app on your mobile device
-
Choose the option to add a new account (usually via a “+” or “Scan QR code” button)
-
Scan the QR code displayed on the screen
If you cannot scan the QR code, there is also a manual code displayed that you can enter into the app.
Step 5: Enter the Verification Code
-
After scanning, your app will generate a 6-digit verification code
-
Enter that code into the field provided in your adxhost client area
-
Click Submit
You’ll see a confirmation message once the setup is complete.
Step 6: Save Your Backup Code
After enabling 2FA, a backup code will be displayed. This is important in case you lose access to your phone.
-
Write the backup code down and store it in a safe place
-
This code can be used once to log in without 2FA
If you lose access to your device and don’t have the backup code, you will need to contact support to regain access to your account.
Logging In with 2FA Enabled
After enabling 2FA:
-
Each time you log in, you will be prompted to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app
-
Enter your email and password as usual, then enter the code to complete login
